OpenID for Guild Wars Guru

Lately I have been working on a new project for Guild Wars Guru, in particular the implementation of OpenID. In a nutshell, OpenID is a centralized login method that enables visitors to use a single username/password combination for various websites. For security reasons, users do not actually provide their credentials to the respective sites, but instead always perform the login at the OpenID provider of their choice prior to continuing to the site they wish to visit. In practice, existing users can link existing accounts on individual websites to their OpenID and subsequently enjoy the simple login. This site here has been modified to allow OpenID access, so if you already have your OpenID, feel free to give it a try. Otherwise, stay tuned for more news about another exciting free guru service.

On a side note, when you research OpenID, you cannot get around i-names. However, after extensively reading developer notes and user comments[1], I still cannot understand for the life of me why anybody would want to pay for an i-name.
